Bishop International Airport
Bishop International Airport is a modern transportation
hub that is the third fastest growing commercial airport
in the United States serving nearly a half million passengers
a year. The airport also has significant intermodal air
freight facilities that handles 30 million pounds of freight
a year.
Currently Bishop
International Airport is undergoing a $33 million expansion
of the freight facilities. The project is expected to be
completed in late 2008 early 2009. The new project is expected
to double the airport’s freight handling capacity.

Runway 18/36 is 7848 feet long and 150 feet wide
Runway 9/27 is 7199 feet long and 150 feet wide
Runway 5/23 is 4291 feet long and 150 feet wide.
Bishop International Airport freight facilities currently
have room for 3 wide body aircraft (757's and A320's). When
the expansion project is complete capacity will increase
to six wide body and 6 caravan type (small turbo-prop) planes.
The largest planes serviced at the airport are Boeing 757
or an Airbus A320
