Flint lands hi-tech ParkingCarma

Regional collaboration lead by the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce resulted in a creative financial package to support the creation of ParkingCarma, a new technology venture. Automation Alley, Ann Arbor Spark, Genesee County Land Bank, the C.S. Mott Foundation and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation joined with the Regional Chamber to support the business objectives of this innovative company. This creative partnership resulted in ParkingCarma choosing a City of Flint location to create 100-150 new jobs. ParkingCarma turned down incentive offers from California and North Carolina.

ParkingCarma provides web-based services to its clients that allow them to monitor availability and reserve parking in congested locations around the United States, including major cities like New York, San Francisco, and more. Read The Flint Journal article–link to Media Center
